Horde:
1) Kill the gnome who drops a device.
2) Use device to remove cannon shield.
3) Kill the human caster who drops a green potion.
4) Use the potion on the cannon to weaken it.
5) kill the humans on horseback to obtain explosive devices.
6) Use as many explosive devices as needed to kill the cannon.
7) You're done.Alliance:
Same steps as mentioned above but you will be looking for Horde type characters which will drop the same type of items.

To take down the cannon's buffs, you need the following potions: [item=151369] & [item=151368]

For the Horde version of the scenario, the Lightning Absorption Capsule is dropped by Gatzin Zapwrench (west of the cannon inside a house) and the Experimental Alchemy Reagent is dropped by Potionmaster Donovan (south of the cannon near the stables). They appear as stars on your mini-map (like rares, but the stars are smaller)

Oh! It's me! And {name}, was it? I remember this! I seem to have found myself in the middle of a battle between the Horde and the Alliance, which wouldn't USUALLY be a big deal, except for that enormous cannon that seems to be trained on me anytime I try to fly away. Think you could take it out for me?
