TheWoWDBOnce you travel to the Wailing Caverns in the Barrens, you enter the instance. Then as you round the corner to the left, there will be one raptor, the box should spawn before you get to the raptor.
Give it some time to spawn as it doesn't spawn right as you enter the instance.

Make sure you have the scroll (Fortune) in your bags or you won't be able to turn this in, I had mine in the bank when I went in and couldn't turn in the quest.
I just completed this quest last night and can confirm it does not count towards the Loremaster achievement, sadly :(

Description
"Your fortune awaits you inside Wailing Caverns." The fortune Sayge handed you feels slightly warm to the touch. Grasping it firmly, you see an image of a cave to the southwest of the Crossroads in the Barrens. Focusing closer in on the image, you wind about twisty passages until you reach a shimmering portal... one that leads into the heart of the caverns itself. Stepping through it, a strange chest appears out from nowhere.
