Your Death Or Mine

I hate to sound like a broken record playing the sounds of beating a dead horse that's just skipping over the same part, but who the hell came up with this quest? I don't think we're playing the same game as this person (people?). PLATFORMING DOES NOT WORK IN THIS GAME.

I like the first mine I stepped on launched me in between some pillars that I had hearth out of because there was no way out. Had another send me off the edge of the world after bouncing off another one and ended up taking rez sickness because you can't retrieve your corpse off the map.

Yes, I know what it's SUPPOSED to do, but they rarely send you in the direction you want to go, no matter how you're standing on them.

Skip this one.

A little heads up, be careful near the edge. You don't really think about it too much but I was doing the quest, went to loot the boss and hit one of the mines and it chucked me off the edge. Well crap. Dead. But you can't run back to your body as it leaves it down there. 700 gold of repairs and 10 min of rez sickness was crappy for this 6 gold reward quest.

This is NOT a hard quest, so don't let other comments throw you off.

There's an invisible border around the mines, of about the width of a mine.
Stepping in that area is the same as stepping on a mine, so that can be surprising.

It's easy to get where you want to go, after you've tried it a few times.

Here's what to do...

Get in between your objective and a mine. You need to be FACING that objective, with the mine BEHIND you.
Facing your body towards the relic, step backwards onto the mine. You'll be thrown up and forward. Sometimes you barely catch the edge of a platform.
Just don't be running or smashing keys. Let yourself fly and land gently.

This is a quest that requires a bit of thought - not just action.
As a side bonus, if you're rushing to get to a rare, you can cut your angles and USE the mines to speed you forward.
