Where the reagents come from
Raw Turtle Meat. No recipe, Blizzard quest reward or dungeon journal drop in our game data produces it.
Juicycrunch Carrot. Rewarded by the quest Way of the Wok. Also a required reagent in 1 other recipe (1 Cooking); the most per craft: Spicy Vegetable Chips (Cooking, 25 per craft).
Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Braised Turtle cost 10 gold84 silver. Most of that is Raw Turtle Meat - 1 at 5 gold99 silver each, 5 gold99 silver, 55.3% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 11 gold41 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 18 gold, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 7 gold16 silver; the Auction House would keep 90 silver of a sale, leaving 6 gold26 silver. That is an estimated 57.7% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 12.6% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 239 units across 20 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
