Reading these numbers

At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Brilliant Spellthread cost 335 gold46 silver. Most of that is Eternal Life - 4 at 66 gold62 silver each, 266 gold48 silver, 79.4% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.

Break-even is 353 gold11 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 1,200 gold93 silver, which clears it.

At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 865 gold47 silver; the Auction House would keep 60 gold4 silver of a sale, leaving 805 gold42 silver. That is an estimated 240.1% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 6.9% of the gross.

Listing depth right now: 10 units across 7 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.

Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
