Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Elixir of the Master cost 13 gold66 silver. Most of that is Heartblossom - 1 at 10 gold85 silver each, 10 gold85 silver, 79.4% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 14 gold37 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 19 gold, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 5 gold34 silver; the Auction House would keep 95 silver of a sale, leaving 4 gold39 silver. That is an estimated 32.1% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 17.8% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 293 units across 13 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
