Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 4 reagents for one craft of Empress' Farewell cost 103 gold38 silver. Most of that is Chopped Mycobloom - 50 at 1 gold99 silver each, 99 gold50 silver, 96.2% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 108 gold82 silver per craft, 36 gold27 silver per item at 3 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 6 gold5 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −85 gold23 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 90 silver75 copper of a sale, so a craft loses 86 gold13 silver at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -83.3% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 330 units across 14 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
