Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Filet of Fangs cost 2 gold62 silver. Most of that is Thousandbite Piranha - 2 at 96 silver each, 1 gold92 silver, 73.3% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 2 gold75 silver per craft, 68 silver95 copper per item at 4 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 2 gold50 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 7 gold38 silver; the Auction House would keep 50 silver of a sale, leaving 6 gold88 silver. That is an estimated 262.6% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 6.8% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 2,368 units across 29 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
