Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 4 reagents for one craft of Flask of Mighty Versatility cost 159 gold64 silver. Most of that is Mana Thistle - 3 at 39 gold54 silver each, 118 gold62 silver, 74.3% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 168 gold4 silver per craft, 84 gold2 silver per item at 2 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 7 gold55 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −144 gold54 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 75 silver50 copper of a sale, so a craft loses 145 gold29 silver at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -91.0% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 241 units across 8 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
