Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 4 reagents for one craft of Flask of the Winds cost 203 gold78 silver. Most of that is Azshara's Veil - 8 at 12 gold75 silver each, 102 gold, 50.1% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 214 gold50 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 895 gold56 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 691 gold78 silver; the Auction House would keep 44 gold77 silver of a sale, leaving 647 gold. That is an estimated 317.5% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 6.5% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 827 units across 12 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
