How this profit is calculated
Fractured Neltharite is read straight from the current World of Warcraft client build. Its cost to craft is the sum of each reagent at the cheapest current Auction House commodity price; where a slot accepts several reagents, the cheapest priced option is used. The crafted value is the live Auction House price of the finished item. Profit is the crafted value minus the reagent cost minus Blizzard’s 5% Auction House cut - recalculated from the latest snapshot, never a number baked into this page. When a reagent or the output has no current listing, the figure is left as unknown rather than guessed.
A craft is only ranked among the best when its finished item has real competition behind it - at least 3 live auctions and 10 units on the region-wide Auction House. Below that, the cheapest listing is simply what one seller decided to ask, so the recipe still shows its arithmetic but is flagged as having no real market and is kept out of the rankings.
Quality tiers and Concentration are not modeled yet: every figure assumes a base-quality craft with no Concentration spend. For current-expansion recipes, where spending Concentration raises output quality without extra reagents, read this profit as the base-quality floor and compare crafts in gold per point of Concentration.
