Crafting estimate at current listings
No real market: too few listings for this price to mean anything yet.
- Reagent cost (lowest listed)
- 300 gold60 silver
- Crafted item, lowest listed price
- 18,888 gold56 silver
- Auction House cut (5%)
- 944 gold42 silver
- Estimated profit at that listed price
- 17,643 gold53 silver
Thin market: the crafted item’s lowest listing comes from very few current listings and sits far out of line with reagent cost. Treat this estimate as unverified until more listings accrue.
- Evidence: 2 current listings holding 2 units of the crafted item in the US region. We see listings, not sales, so how many sell and at what price is unknown.

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 1 reagent for one craft of Inscribed Ember Topaz cost 300 gold60 silver.
Break-even is 316 gold42 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 18,888 gold56 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 18,587 gold96 silver; the Auction House would keep 944 gold42 silver of a sale, leaving 17,643 gold53 silver. That is an estimated 5869.4% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 5.1% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 2 units across 2 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
