Reading these numbers

At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Major Holy Protection Potion cost 206 gold19 silver. Most of that is Primal Life - 1 at 119 gold89 silver each, 119 gold89 silver, 58.1% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.

Break-even is 217 gold4 silver per craft, 43 gold40 silver per item at 5 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 93 gold59 silver, which clears it.

At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 261 gold76 silver; the Auction House would keep 23 gold39 silver of a sale, leaving 238 gold36 silver. That is an estimated 115.6% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 8.9% of the gross.

Listing depth right now: 63 units across 7 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.

Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
