Made with Mysterious Essence (Enchanting, Pandaria Enchanting) from 5 Spirit Dust. At lowest listed prices that makes one Mysterious Essence for 15 silver, against 1 gold35 silver listed. Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 1 reagent for one craft of Mysterious Diffusion cost 1 gold35 silver.
Break-even is 1 gold42 silver per craft, 47 silver37 copper per item at 3 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 3 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −1 gold26 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 45 copper of a sale, so a craft loses 1 gold26 silver at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -93.7% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 486,869 units across 168 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
