Crafting estimate at current listings
No real market: too few listings for this price to mean anything yet.
- Reagent cost (lowest listed)
- 1,276 gold43 silver
- Crafted item, lowest listed price
- 8,130 gold84 silver
- Auction House cut (5%)
- 406 gold54 silver
- Estimated profit at that listed price
- 6,447 gold86 silver
No real market: only 4 units across 2 auctions region-wide. With this little supply the lowest listing is one asking price rather than a market rate, so treat the estimate above as arithmetic, not an opportunity; a buyer at that price is not established.
- Evidence: 2 current listings holding 4 units of the crafted item in the US region. We see listings, not sales, so how many sell and at what price is unknown.

Where the reagents come from
Rune Thread. No recipe, Blizzard quest reward or dungeon journal drop in our game data produces it. Also a required reagent in 216 other recipes (129 Leatherworking and 87 Tailoring); Displacement Boots takes the most, 10 per craft.
Primal Mana. Made with Transmute: Primal Fire to Mana (Alchemy, Outland Alchemy) from 1
Primal Fire. At lowest listed prices that makes one Primal Mana for 499 gold98 silver, against 255 gold19 silver listed. Also a required reagent in 59 other recipes (18 Leatherworking, 10 Tailoring, 9 Blacksmithing and 7 Engineering); the most per craft: Circlet of Arcane Might (Jewelcrafting, 20 per craft), Fireguard (Blacksmithing, 20 per craft), Netherstrike Breastplate (Leatherworking, 16 per craft), Black Belt of Knowledge (Tailoring, 14 per craft) and Foreman's Enchanted Helmet (Engineering, 12 per craft).

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Mystic Spellthread cost 1,276 gold43 silver. Most of that is Primal Mana - 5 at 255 gold19 silver each, 1,275 gold95 silver, 100.0% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 1,343 gold61 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 8,130 gold84 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 6,854 gold41 silver; the Auction House would keep 406 gold54 silver of a sale, leaving 6,447 gold86 silver. That is an estimated 505.1% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 5.9% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 4 units across 2 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
