Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 5 reagents for one craft of Prototype Explorer's Barding Framework cost 1,646 gold28 silver. Most of that is Obsidian Seared Alloy - 2 at 655 gold1 silver each, 1,310 gold2 silver, 79.6% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 1,732 gold92 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 499 gold99 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −1,146 gold29 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 24 gold99 silver of a sale, so a craft loses 1,171 gold28 silver at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -71.1% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 143 units across 16 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
