Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 4 reagents for one craft of Quick Sapphire cost 456 gold56 silver. Most of that is Crushed Gemstones - 20 at 19 gold99 silver each, 399 gold80 silver, 87.6% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 480 gold58 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 551 gold70 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 95 gold14 silver; the Auction House would keep 27 gold58 silver of a sale, leaving 67 gold55 silver. That is an estimated 14.8% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 29.0% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 18 units across 6 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
