Where the reagents come from
Dense Blasting Powder. Made with Dense Blasting Powder (Engineering, Classic Engineering) from 2
Dense Stone. At lowest listed prices that makes one Dense Blasting Powder for 6 silver, against 5 silver listed. Also a required reagent in 7 other recipes (7 Engineering); Dark Iron Bomb takes the most, 3 per craft.
Runecloth. No recipe, Blizzard quest reward or dungeon journal drop in our game data produces it. Also a required reagent in 19 other recipes (8 Engineering, 6 Leatherworking, 4 Tailoring and 1 Blacksmithing); the most per craft: Runic Leather Shoulders (Leatherworking, 18 per craft), Runic Leather Armor (Leatherworking, 16 per craft), Runic Leather Pants (Leatherworking, 12 per craft), Runic Leather Belt (Leatherworking, 10 per craft) and Runic Leather Headband (Leatherworking, 10 per craft).
Deeprock Salt. No recipe, Blizzard quest reward or dungeon journal drop in our game data produces it. Also a required reagent in 3 other recipes (2 Leatherworking and 1 Cooking); the most per craft: Cured Rugged Hide (Leatherworking, 1 per craft), Cured Thick Hide (Leatherworking, 1 per craft) and Dirge's Kickin' Chimaerok Chops (Cooking, 1 per craft).

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Snake Burst Firework cost 74 silver. Most of that is Runecloth - 2 at 30 silver each, 60 silver, 81.1% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 77 silver89 copper per craft, 19 silver47 copper per item at 4 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 69 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 2 gold2 silver; the Auction House would keep 13 silver80 copper of a sale, leaving 1 gold88 silver. That is an estimated 254.3% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 6.8% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 1,657 units across 14 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
