Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 1 reagent for one craft of Snake Firework cost 7 gold80 silver.
Break-even is 8 gold21 silver per craft, 1 gold64 silver per item at 5 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 1 gold62 silver, which does not clear it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 30 silver; the Auction House would keep 40 silver50 copper of a sale, leaving −10 silver50 copper. That is an estimated -1.3% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 135.0% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 1,557 units across 17 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
