Crafting estimate at current listings
No real market: too few listings for this price to mean anything yet.

- Crafted item, lowest listed price (each)
- 3,000 gold77 silver
- Items per craft
- 2
- Listed value of one craft
- 6,001 gold54 silver
- Auction House cut (5%)
- 300 gold7 silver
- Estimated profit at that listed price

Thin market: the crafted item’s lowest listing comes from very few current listings and sits far out of line with reagent cost. Treat this estimate as unverified until more listings accrue.
- Evidence: 4 current listings holding 22 units of the crafted item in the US region. We see listings, not sales, so how many sell and at what price is unknown.
- Outlier: the crafted item’s lowest listing is 14 times its 30-day median of 217 gold, so this estimate rests on a listing far above its usual level.
- Items per craft: the game’s spell data creates 2 per craft, so the listed value of one craft is that many times the lowest listed price.
- Quality: Somniferous Incense comes in 3 quality ranks. This is the base comparison, rank 1 reagents against the rank 1 result; your skill and the reagents’ ranks decide the rank you actually get, which this estimate does not model. Each rank’s lowest listing is in the rank table below.
- Not included: the recipe also accepts 1 finishing reagent slot, which are not required and are left out of the cost.

Somniferous Incense quality ranks
Somniferous Incense comes in 3 quality ranks, and each rank is its own item on the Auction House. The recipe’s base crafting difficulty is 250.
| Rank | Item | Lowest listed price | Listings (US) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rank 1 | Somniferous Incense | 3,000 gold77 silver | 4 listings, 22 units |
| Rank 2 | Somniferous Incense | 14 gold30 silver | 7 listings, 1,068 units |
| Rank 3 | Somniferous Incense | 30 gold45 silver | 5 listings, 454 units |
The crafting estimate above is the base comparison: rank 1 reagents against the rank 1 result. Your skill and the reagents’ ranks decide which rank a craft actually makes, so a higher rank is never priced against rank 1 reagents here. Right now rank 1 lists above rank 2 and rank 3, so a craft that comes out at a higher rank is worth less at today’s listings, not more.
Somniferous Incense: lowest listed price, last 30 days
The current lowest listing is 14 times its 30-day median. Over these 30 days the lowest listing moved more than tenfold, so a single snapshot, including the one the estimate uses, can sit far from typical.

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Somniferous Incense cost 8 gold70 silver. Most of that is Bubble Poppy - 6 at 1 gold each, 6 gold, 69.0% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 9 gold15 silver per craft, 4 gold57 silver per item at 2 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 3,000 gold77 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 5,992 gold84 silver; the Auction House would keep 300 gold7 silver of a sale, leaving 5,692 gold76 silver. That is an estimated 65434.1% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 5.0% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 22 units across 4 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
