Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Thorium Shield Spike cost 22 gold50 silver. Most of that is Thorium Bar - 4 at 4 gold20 silver each, 16 gold80 silver, 74.7% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 23 gold68 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 1,276 gold69 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 1,254 gold19 silver; the Auction House would keep 63 gold83 silver of a sale, leaving 1,190 gold35 silver. That is an estimated 5290.5% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 5.1% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 18 units across 4 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
