Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Transmute: Dream Emerald cost 38 gold22 silver. Most of that is Jasper - 3 at 9 gold99 silver each, 29 gold97 silver, 78.4% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 40 gold23 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 18 gold2 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −20 gold20 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 90 silver10 copper of a sale, so a craft loses 21 gold10 silver at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -55.2% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 3,782 units across 88 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
