Toasted Fish Jerky

If you make exactly 6 of each Pandarian Cuisine -> Everyday Cooking item, you'll get +5 cooking each time, then be the exact skill to get the next recipe from the trainer (with the exceptions of the final 2, [spell=125121] and Rice Pudding*). All the mats except Golden Carp and Wildfowl Breast are available from [npc=64231] in Halfhill Market, who also teaches you to make the recipes. There are 20 recipes, and you'll make 6 each, and they cost around 2g per item, so if you bring 300g you should be fine**.

Golden Carp is now the "junk" item caught from any Pandaria water (except Inkgill Mere), as well as the most common fish caught with perfect fishing skill, so you should have no trouble fishing up 6 and getting 30 cooking skill with this recipe. You don't even need a rod to fish anymore. I suggest getting a total of 42 of these fish, because you'll need them later for Golden Carp Consomme (at 270), Fish Cake (at 300), and Green Curry Fish (at 420), each of which requires 12 fish (6 foods at 2 fish each). You can't fish it, but just for completeness while you're farming, you'll also need 2 Wildfowl Breast for [spell=125121] (at 510) before you can start the individual Ways.

I just went to the river a little east of Halfhill and fished them up there. If you do the Sliced Peaches quest, she'll even give you a quest to talk to [npc=70398], who will teach you fishing, and give you 5 free Golden Carp (you fish 5, then he gives you 5 more). You don't need her quest to get his quest, but it gives you a giant "?" so you can find him with zero fuss.

* You'll only make 2 Wildfowl Ginseng Soup, and although you'll make a total of 6 Rice Pudding, 4 of them don't level you. Around 500, you'll get a quest to make 5 Rice Pudding, which is required before you can advance past 525 cooking, and you need 520 to make them, so you'll make the first one, cap your skill at 525, make 4 more to finish the quest, get your Illustrious Grand Master Cooking, then make 1 more to get to 530.
