ALCHEMISTS REJOICE!
Oh, the wonders of the Philosopher's Stone!
Currently on the PTR this only creates one(1) savage blood
edit: dont think it matters but im an xmute master and 700 Alch.
Currently sold by Samantha Scarlet (A) and Nicholas Mitrik (H). Bring Alchemical Catalyst.
Note: They have a random daily chance to spawn in your Garrison.
Can anyone confirm if Transmutation Master works for Savage Blood?
Actually Goldentauren, they aren't removed. They just don't apply to WOD recipes. They still work for older recipes.
From what I can tell so far, no there will be no extra procs :(
Day 2. It only created one(1) savage blood. It says "Cooldown resets daily" in red letters. I have the materials to make 7 more but it says "spell is not ready yet" Again, i'm 700 alch /xmute master.
I don't care. I'm just happy we can transmute in the first place.
A little bit of oil and an awful lot of catalyst. Seems like the process is pretty complicated.
Thanks, that's what I came here to find. I really wish they would put transmutes from each expansion on separate cooldowns. I still need living steel, and I'd still like to some primal transmutes from BC to discover the ones I don't know, but I can't see myself doing either if it means giving up a savage blood transmute.
Also shares a cooldown with Transmute: King's Amber and the rest of the Northrend Gem Transmutes. That's just silly.
Found this out the hard way :(
The fact that they are random is just completely beyond me. What kind of designer actually thought it would be a good idea to have a recipe vendor spawn at random?
Welp I'm looking forward to this. My barn has horrid luck it seems with blood drops. Getting one/two per full workorders.
thos asking about the daily cd need to consider one important thing it doesn't realy matter. as the cata are tradable so this adds on another blood every single day add alchemy to multiple toons can get 8 a day that's going to drive the blood market way down
Any info on how many Savage Bloods you get at 700 alchemy? Since the ability is available at skill level 1, I would guess (or at least hope) there is some sort of boost (10 per transmute is probably unrealistic, so maybe 3?).
Guess there's a reason to stockpile Alchemical Crystals.
Is it also a once a day CD or not. if it has a CD might grant more then 1 blood. If it doesnt have a CD then it will only be 1 blood per.
From what I saw on MMOC, this recipe would give you 10 profession points, so I think it has a cooldown of one day.
Came here to find out as well. I just did 10 of them over the course of 10 days, not a single proc. Was wondering if it was bugged or something.
so in hopes of it not being a daily cooldown transmute, I had stockpiled roughly 2500 catalyst (since they were only about 3g on my server) even with the cool down, since this is a lvl one spell I plan on dropping herb/mine on any of toons that have then (since the are mostly useless now anyways) and i will be able to do this transmute from the start on 3-4 characters... hopefully that gives some people some good ideas
Check the raid finder under custom premades. You'll often find someone advertising their traders and have auto-join set. This is also a handy way of finding someone with a disenchanting font in their garrison. I just wish there was a way to tip cross-realm.
The Alchemical Catalyst is not soulbound. If the transmute has no CD things might get interesting on the AH and alts with herb gardens and level 1 labs could become popular.
Can you do the transmute more than once per day?
Xmute/potion/elixir master only affect Pre WoD (panda and before) I have seen NO mention as of yet when or if they will turn them on for WoD.
Ha! I can already see the prices of Savage Blood dropping on AH!
not that much, since, the current price is around 10g each catalyst: 10x50=500. with savage being around 700-750. this won't proc extras either
Still got Riddle of Steel. Shouldn't be too difficult to get the spirits for it.
Looks like it also shares a CD with http://www.wowhead.com/item=22915/recipe-transmute-primal-air-to-fire I wonder if it shares a CD with any transmute?
They recently hotfixed the profession traders to appear in a rotation rather than at random. Though it begs the question why they didn't have it like that to begin with?
If you are like me and have several chars/alts, you might want this as a macro for those daily chores.
In this example, Savage Blood:

/run PickupSpell("181643")
@kalleralle how so? although the Catalyst may be bought from the AH, there's still only two ways to create them, daily CD or work orders. So without a garrison building it takes a minimum of 5 days to create the catalyst needed for a single blood. Bloods dropped weeks ago to <800g each on my server so i'm guessing most other servers had similar drops. The price of bloods is unlikely to go down any further, if anything it may come back up slightly, and the price of catalyst is also unlikely to move seeing the cost of 50x catalyst atm is roughly 1k. More than the cost of a blood.
price will shoot up for about two weeks to about avg of 800ish, and then drop faster than before... barns produce bloods easier and after the new gear upgrades (90 per toon) blood will go back to being cheaper...
Pretty sure that's by design. Which is why Bloods cost 50 Primal Spirits.
and needing another 90 per toon for next upgrades
I wish they would bring back the procs on all the alchemy specializations. I guess we can expect to see the price of bloods drop even more now.
Alchemy masteries were removed in wod, so you aren't a xmute master
