This pet and the other one in the Trading post at the same time (Nelle) count as a beetle type if you need it to get Dreamborne Scarab from Elianna! I decided to try it out even though I JUST hit a rank high enough to get Paulie and Rango. So, if you haven't gotten your Loamm Niffen up high enough for those two, you can get one of the Trading Post beetles and they work!
