Chrominius

This pet is learned from [item=93038], which has a chance to drop from [npc=14020], a boss in [zone=2677].

Some great information posted by people here, but something I think that has been missed a little bit. It's a little Cromaggus of your very own! You don't have to be a hunter anymore! And even before getting into anything else, what an amazing looking companion/pet/boss. One of the most unique and cool models ever created, fitting for what he is.

Maybe my enthusiasm is so high about lil' Chrominius because I remember him being a very difficult boss, not to mention the lore of the Chromatic Dragonflight, of which Chromaggus is one of the few Chromatic Dragonkin to survive to adulthood (Gyth also comes to mind, which can be acquired in Dragon Soul, as Experiment 12-B, via a VERY low drop rate from Ultraxion).

I ran BWL with a buddy to try to snap up some of the cool new 5.1 raid pets but hadn't had any luck with Chrominius. I saw one on the AH for 7500g, which is a little steep on our market, but I didn't hesitate, I just had to snap him up and am already on the way to leveling him to 25.

He also has some pretty decent abilities, particularly Howl in slot 2, and the slot 3 abilities have the potential for serious power. I'll have to finish leveling him to 25 to see how his HP/AP/SP all end up, at which time i'll post a follow up.

Good luck getting this little guy. for aesthetics and nostalgia alone, he's pure win. He's awesome to summon in a crowded area and toss a pet biscuit on. I've gotten many comments on how cool he is.
