TheWoWDBAll hunters need to do Breaching the Tomb and the subsequent quest to unlock their initial class mount. Marksmen and Survival hunters get to purchase a recolour of the mount with order resources once they get Concordance of the Legionfall in their specs. BM hunters gain the ability to tame feathermane creatures once they get Concordance instead. I am guessing you should be able to use the recolours regardless of spec, in any case, as they are separate entries in your mount journal unlike in other classes.
