I just paid a JC to make this gem for me and when he made it at the construct, he permanently learned it; the recipe was added to his JC link so I think you can randomly permanently learn the recipe to not need the construct when having the construct craft it. I guess, in an RP sense, by watching the construct craft it, you can figure it out on your own eventually.
Yeah, it took two crafts for my JC to learn it.
