Pureblood Fire Hawk

This is a mount from Ragnaros in 4.2. It is a rare drop from both 10/25-man normal mode while it is a 100% drop from 10/25 heroic modes.

I got this mount on our 2nd Ragnaros kill. Luckily the guild was nice enough to admit that we all made an effort in killing him so our raid leader listed all our names with numbers and raidrolled. I remember shouting "Go 4!" on ventrilo and BAM! there it was.
Considering that I have been playing this game since the open US beta, I'm so glad good fortune finally came my way in form of a mount. Cause gear gets replaced with every content patch, but mounts are forever.
As for the mount itself, it has the same "structure" as the proto-drakes, but the long feathers and the shine make it look enormous.
It's a fantastic mount and though I also like the Corrupted Fire Hawk I still prefer the looks of this one.

Won this today, and it's larger than allmost every other mount. Also very bright and eye catching. Highly recommend using Elixir of Giant growth, Gigantic feast and/or Gnomeregan pride trinket at the same time (and other stacking effects), you'll look like a raidboss:)
