I sat on the beach a bit to the left of the Teleportologist. Fishing Buddy tells me it took 692 casts. I was there over three hours. Thankfully, I learned the art of reading a bit on forums and going back when I heard the splash and IM-ing friends while fishing. :P
Interesting that the Sea Pony shows as exactly 0.1% of my catches.
Fished one out of shipwreck debris last night on the second cast. Also got a [item=78930] with some top-level cloth and ore in it from the same cast.
