    What This Set Covers

This is a complete head-to-toe outfit - it fills 9 armor slots, so it can be worn as a full look with nothing borrowed from another set. Every piece is Bind on Pickup, so the appearances have to be earned rather than bought.

    Where to Farm This Set

4 bosses in March on Quel'Danas, Sporefall and The Voidspire drop pieces of this set. Each instance below carries its Adventure Guide entry, where its entrance is, and what each boss drops.

    March on Quel'Danas

Darkness has eclipsed the Isle of Quel'Danas, clouding the skies above Silvermoon City. With Arator the Redeemer by their side, the Champions of Azeroth must march on the Sunwell before the light of the blood elves is lost forever.

    • Midnight Falls drops 1 piece of this set (Head). Adventure Guide map pin: 51.0, 44.1 on the March on Quel'Danas map. Once a creature of Light, L'ura fell to the Void long ago on Argus, her essence siphoned by Alleria Windrunner in the Seat of the Triumvirate. Freed from her bindings, L'ura's dark energies now threaten the very Sunwell itself.

    Sporefall

Deep in the fungal valleys of Harandar, the fungarian sporecallers have been growing a new threat for The Grudge Pit. Shaded by towering mushrooms, Sporefall is the perfect site to empower their new creation.

    • Rotmire drops 1 piece of this set (Feet). Adventure Guide map pin: 72.5, 74.4 on the Sporefall map. The fungarians of Sporefall have nurtured a fungal giant to grow far beyond its natural growth cycle. Rotmire is a beast of brute strength whose spores can catalyze the growth of surrounding fungi, sprouting new dangers for the unwary.

    The Voidspire

From high above the Voidstorm, Xal'atath has gathered the Devouring Host beneath her dark banner. The towering Voidspire looms like a spear of darkness, a citadel guarded by an army of the void. The forces of the light - led by Alleria Windrunner and the Champions of Azeroth - must rally for one last desperate assault before all is lost.

    • Imperator Averzian drops 1 piece of this set (Chest). Adventure Guide map pin: 39.9, 68.5 on the The Voidspire map. Imperator Averzian wages a relentless campaign, seeking not conquest, but annihilation. His entire will is bent to a singular ambition: to rend the veil between worlds and carve a breach into the Void itself. Through this wound, his infinite host shall pour forth, drowning Azeroth in darkness.
    • Fallen-King Salhadaar drops 1 piece of this set (Wrist). Adventure Guide map pin: 65.7, 76.4 on the The Voidspire map. After turning on Xal'atath, the fallen king Salhadaar has become a captive of the very Shadowguard he once commanded. Tortured, delirious, and infused with the Void, he awaits his death--or a chance to win his people's freedom from Xal'atath's grasp.

    Look-Alike Sets

1 other set reuses the 3D models of Mantle of the Primal Core’s head, shoulder, waist, legs, hands and chest, most shared models first:

Matched in the game files: each piece’s ItemDisplayInfo names its 3D model and texture. The same model with another texture is a recolour. Only pieces with a 3D model of their own (helms, shoulders, cloaks, weapons, shields, off-hands and some belts and robes) can be compared this way; pieces drawn from textures alone are left out.
