Tooltip

Garrote the enemy, causing damage over 18 sec, increased by your attack power. Must be stealthed and behind the target. Awards 1 combo points.

How it works

Each cast of Garrote costs 50 Energy. Casting it triggers a 1 sec global cooldown.

Garrote is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 3. Its base value is 20 per tick. It applies the bleeding mechanic. It ticks every 3 sec, 6 times over the full 18 sec (120 base in total).
  2. Effect 2 is effect type 328, which the datamine does not name. Its base value is 1.

What it does

Garrote is a spell with an instant cast, a range of 5 yards and effects that last 18 sec. When cast it applies an aura with the bleeding mechanic every 3 sec. The client files the whole spell under the bleeding mechanic.

Generated from the SpellEffect, SpellMisc, SpellCooldowns and SpellRange records in the Wrath of the Lich King client, build 3.80.2.69874. Effects the client marks as internal hooks are left out.
