The absolute easiest spot to get this (for both ranged AND melee) is on the western shore of Za'Tual, in the bottom left of the map. I spent about 5-10 minutes chasing them around the troll camps with no luck. Went down there and there's a couple flying at near ground level, very easy to hit.
EDIT: Had put bottom right by mistake.
