This achievement can be obtained multiple times throughout a battleground, it begins to count the moment you land on the ground after jumping from your factions airship. On top of that, you need a killing blow, so attempting to land in an area where there is a fight going and quickly bursting down low enemy players is an easy way to obtain this achievement.

I was mounted when I stepped off the ship and I instantly died when I hit the ground and got this achievement. Possibly a bug?
