To get this achievement, go to the temple of the white tiger and talk to Trial Master Rotun or your class trainer. (For alliance, you can get the breadcrumb quest from Taijing The Cyclone ) You will "queue" for proving grounds that will be instant because its a one person only instance. You choose which "Proving session" (tank/heals/dps) you want to do once inside by talking to Trial Master Rotun, not when you queue. You have to complete silver before gold becomes available. Once inside all your gear is scaled down to ilvl463 gear, but you will have all 8 raid buffs applied at all times. There is an arcane reforger, a repair vendor and a warlock soulwell available inside.

For healers, you must heal a party of 4 pandaren, who all have different abilities. They will "party" with you, and the interface looks exactly like it does when partying with humans. I can confirm that healbot functions as normal in the instance for those that use it.

A couple important notes:

  • You cannot drink inbetween waves, even if you finish early. So its important to conserve mana early on for later (especially for holy priests).

  • Health and mana are brought to full and all CD's (except trinkets) reset when you start a session

  • If anyone dies you fail. The DPS wont continue to DPS, it will just reset.

  • Surprisingly the mage will use time warp

  • The tanks only survival mechanism is shield wall which he will use at low health.

  • The rogue and mage will interrupt spell casts often

  • Holy priests, the tank seems to be allergic to lightwells lightsprings and will slowly gravitate away from them.

For Gold there is 10 waves of illusions, each progressively harder.

All the same illusions as silver will show up, with one new one. This means, flamecallers, illusionary aqualyte, hive-singers, the works. The time between waves is also much shorter, there is no downtime.

The new mob this time is the illusionary tunneler, they spawn at wave three and they're annoying. The only difficult thing about them is they will burrow and then pop up behind a random party member. Whoever they hit gets a debuff that ticks twice a second until the target is healed above 90% health. This will kill you quickly if you dont top off whoever has it. If multiple people get this, you are almost guaranteed to fail. So its important to focus heal whoever gets the debuff, the tank can stand to be ignored for a few seconds.

The second new mob is illusionary conquerors, they spawn at wave six and have an enrage buff that ups their damage considerably.

As a holy priest its pretty difficult. Ive yet to beat gold, Ill come back and edit if I find anything else useful.

I agree...I've beaten gold several times just as a break from trying to get past waves 8 and 9 of endless...

Tips for druids that may be having trouble:

waves 1 - 3:

- There's no reason why the first three waves shouldn't be ended with full mana. Keep efflorescence on the tank/rogue/pet. Let lifebloom expire (make sure you have Glyph of Blooming equipped) and burst your mushroom for free, instant burst on the tank to keep him up as he isn't taking a lot of damage in the beginning. When the ranged get hit, just throw one rejuv on the one taking damage and let them regen the rest naturally until what point the tank is taking no damage and you can afford to throw a rejuv and still be full mana.

- When tunnelers come out and put the debuff on someone, throw a quick rejuv on the debuffed ally, followed by swiftmend. If done quick enough, this will usually heal the target high enough to remove the debuff quickly.

Waves 3 - 10:

- Save your ironbark for when the big enraging ones come out, and cast it when they actually enrage (I've confirmed that soothe does not work on them), as your tank will take a lot of damage (if you throw it out earlier, it may not be up when you need it, so use caution in doing so). Throw swiftmend on top of efflorescence for the extra healing buff and try not to use your Tree of Life or Tranquility cooldowns until phases 7 and 8.

- Remember to always keep lifebloom on the target. Only let it expire when burst healing is needed.

- Everyone starts taking massive damage around waves 7 and 8. Bust your cooldowns wisely, but this should be the place to do it.

- After you get to phase 9, You should have about 30-40% of your mana on average (more if you have the Contemplation of Chi-Ji trinket and have been on top of all of your innervates - put the two together in a macro for a good mana regen and stay on top of using the trinket at every 1.5 minutes. I'm usually at 50-60%, but it's around 30-40% without the trinket and not being on top of mana cooldowns).

- Stack all of your HoTs and ironbark on the tank through the enragers, stay on top of dispelling, and only heal the mage and hunter as they need it, using the strategies above for each mobs abilities. Bust everything you have on the tank in phase 10 and you win, as there isn't as much damage going around by that point.

With practice, I started being able to get to phase 7 with full mana. It takes memorization of what mobs come out when and being 100% on all your cooldowns and free burst healing abilities.

Good luck, everyone! Sorry I can only give druid tips ><;

I was strugling with the same problems as you, but after slowly understanding what the diffirent adds do, it became a lot more simple to heal. I used Hymn on waves 3,7 and 10. And Guardian spirit on waves 6 and 8th. Leaping tank away from the big enraged guys saves you couple heals aswell. I used voidshift on 5th wave. When finished I had 74 heals casted, 20 greated heals and zero flash heals. I fully reforged and mostly gemmed for spirit and popped spirit flask. With +9k spirit and timing your cooldowns, and staying calm, it is more than doable. Hope this helped at all!
