It is sufficient to simply participate in getting the HK to earn this achievement; it is not required that you land the killing blow.
Easy way to get this achievement. Grab their flag when the enemy flag carrier is getting close to his base, fight him and once he is low on HP drop the flag. Once he returns his flag, finish him off.
