Twisting Corridors: Layer 1

So far I've been unable to complete Twisting Corridors, Layer 1. The farthest I've gotten was Floor 12, killed Synod, who was supposed to be difficult. He had 980K health. I finished him on my Affliction Warlock only to go to the next floor and get battered unmercifully by Dreadsoul Chorus at 320K health so much that I died 5 times. My ilvl was 188, and I'm a fairly skilled player.

When I read that some classes waltz through Torghast while others find it hopeless, it's discouraging. To me, this is neither balanced nor fair. I enjoy a challenge but fighting through for no reward is not my idea of play.

yeah ran this for the first time, 18 floors, ^&*! that. i want the mount, but it's not worth all the crap you have to do.

Just got this boss on floor 18 of layer 1 of the Twisting Corridors on my second try to get all 18 floors. I was even happy because i encountered this boss a couple of times before and I aced this boss solo (even the layer 8 in the other sections of Torghast).
But Blizzard does not want ppl to make it through all 18 floors of the twisting Corridors. So as a blood DK ilvl 187 with (at layer 18) 156.000 health, 66% soul remnents blessing, 91 anima powers (I did a full clear) I showed the definition of going splat.
I avoided every charge, I had 3 Horseman of death, summoned my ghoul, had my steward out with first the damage buff and later the health buff and I could not get this boss below 50%.
The horseman where the only reason I even made it to 50% but they died fast. Tried it 6 times (yes, did 18 floors without dying and i had bought a extra life potion at one point)

The changes where;
- triggering the rat traps did massive aoe damage ( I think). Basicly after the first time splat I ran away from my horseman after the charge, let him throw the trap and then joined the fight with the trap safely far away from the group.
- At the last fight I tried to interrupt the Rats! spell he casts because I think he gets extra powerfull after casting it. Very difficult to interrupt and I could not see if it helps because, well, last live, and I was really trying to stay alive.. Just checked my Combat Log and at the end I got hit with Warden Skoldus Rats! spell for 85.693 physical (3.728 absorbed), a second Warden Skoldus Rats! spell for 55.640 physical, a melee strike 43.600 physical, a second melee for 66.563 physical (66.563 absorbed) and a Warden Skoldus Rats! spell for 95.382 physical, 44.500 overkill. There were of course massive healing in between from my Death Strike, leech and my steward but still went splat.

I hope this helps the next player who encounters him at floor 18 in Torghast The Twisting Corridors, this player is a bit irritated with Blizzard for taking away my fun at playing. Just spend 3 hours playing for a second time, doing a full clear only to see that the last boss is soo boosted that I dont see anyone killing him and doing a full clear of this Torghast entrance.
