As a rule when you see the Zandalari Warbringer watch out for the Zandalari Scout which is in stealth mode close to the warbringer's general vicinity. In Townlong and Dread Wastes the scout was close to the warbringer but I have found the scout in some unusually far spots, like in Kra-wilds he was across the water deep in the jungle and in Kun-lai he was on the opposite end of the cliff. Be careful because I noticed the scout does loop back to the warbringer and the last thing you want is him to join the party when you're facing off the warbringer. Both had the rare silver dragon symbol.

With regards to buffs I always thought their buffs were zone specific as I never saw a change in the time I was frolicking about in PTR but wowhead user Lore has seen otherwise:

This isn't quite accurate. Although the abilities listed are correct, the abilities that can be used by the Warbringers and Scouts are set by their buffs when they spawn, not by their location. Any of them can have any 4 of the 5 buffs regardless of where they spawn

Thanks for the heads up.

Buffs

The Zandalari Warbringer is a lvl92 rare. He sits on a direhorn mount and he has four buffs on him. With regards to buffs he can have four of any of the following five buffs:

- Thundering Sigil. Grants the Thunder Crush ability. When cast a circle of charge electricity forms on the ground, it's fairly large and you have seconds to get out of it.
- Star Map. Grants the Meteor Shower ability. This is very similar to the Rain dance spell used by Jinyu... just this one hits harder. The meteors fall slow enough to get out of the way.
- Scarab Brooch. Grants the Scarab Swarm Ability. Please note that the scarabs are normal size, about a dozen spawn and hit like mac trucks.
- Tribal Mask. Grants the Horrific Visage ability. No idea what this does as I died before he got to use it.
- Spirit Charm. Grants the Vengeful Spirit Ability. Again this is a mob spawner. Unlike the scarabs the spirits are casters and you can interrupt the casts but then they come in for melee.

[the thundering sigil and the star map were the ones he always had but this may be different come live.]

I'm not BiS geared and I couldn't scratch him. Not saying you can't solo, just saying my attempt was as successful as a elephant jumping. I have a feeling you need buddies for this one TBH. I found he cast the Star Map and Thudering Sigil more often. When you down him he will drop [item=94158] which can contain gold, rare enchant mats, a faction rep boost stolen insignia and possibly-maybe-might a new mount (if it does my money is on the mount model the warbringer rides which is a direhorn.) [on live he can drop both green and blue bags together but he always dropped the blue, and 3-4 rep tokens]

The Zandalari Warscout is a lvl91 Rare and is also buffed with three buffs, the same kind as the warbringer can be buffed with. From my experience his "main" buff was either the Thundering sigil or Tribal mask and then he had a combo of Scarab Brooch, Star Map & Spirit charm. I found he wore whatever buffs the Warbringer had (from what I observed) this could be wrong or different in live but after a few weeks I noticed his 3 were a pick from whatever the warbringer had.

He is soloable but I found it the hardest to solo him when he was buffed Scarab swarm since he loved to spam that spell and before I could blink I was covered in dozen of adds. This could just be a PTR kink but you will need to bring your CC A game when you find that is one of his buffs just in case. He drops [item=94159] which can contain gold, motes, herbs and ore. [on live he dropped 1 rep token and on occasion the green bag, was surprised when the bag didn't drop as I never had a PTR kill that didn't have the bag drop, this could be a glitch so will update if it changes.]

*** With regards to looting before the fight everyone agree on needing or greeding because the tokens can not be traded, only bags. If one person greeds and other needs that first person is going to end up with all the loot, unable to trade some of the goodies ***

Happy hunting!
