Blizzard announces World of Warcraft: Forever, launching November 4

Blizzard has announced World of Warcraft: Forever, a new permanent game alongside modern and Classic WoW. It is set after the events of Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, and invites past, current, and new players into a familiar yet fresh Azeroth where the world takes center stage and the journey matters as much as the destination.

Players will return to the original continents, adventure to level 60, and continue progressing through new stories, experiences, and updates. Blizzard says these are inspired by years of player passion and feedback. A What's Next panel during BlizzCon 2026, featuring Senior Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, Lead Classic Designer Tim Jones, Lead Software Engineer Nora Mills, and Associate Production Director Clay Stone, covered new regions, dungeons, raids, systems, and the new playable Skyborne race.

World of Warcraft: Forever launches globally on November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PDT, with access included with a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time. A beta begins Thursday, September 17, and a Deep Dive panel is scheduled for Sunday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. PDT.

Optional upgrade editions are available to pre-purchase on the Battle.net Shop. The Skyborne Heroic Pack includes the Skyborne race, Zephras Isle starting experience, Early Name Reservation, a mount, cosmetics, housing decor, and one Invite-A-Friend Launch Code. The Skyborne Epic Pack adds beta access, 30 days of Game Time, additional items, and three Launch Codes. The limited-time Warcraft Forever Collection also includes Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign, and Housing decor for modern World of Warcraft. A physical Collector's Edition is available through the Blizzard Gear Store while supplies last.
