Search the item on the Auction House browser to see the lowest price listed right now, or open your realm's price page to see the most listed items with their current price next to the 7-day median. In game you can confirm any price at an auctioneer in a major city before you buy.
What is market price versus current price?
The current price is the lowest buyout listed at this moment. The market price is what the item usually costs. On TheWoWDB it is the 7-day median of the cheapest price recorded each hour, so one cheap or expensive listing does not distort it. A current price below the market price is a possible bargain, and one above it means you may want to wait.
Which realm is cheapest?
It depends on the item. Commodities such as herbs, ore and cloth share one price across a region, but gear, recipes, mounts and other unique items are priced per realm, so the same item can cost far less on another server. The cheapest realm finder compares one item across every scanned realm and ranks the realms by price.
