I flew over to the Waking Shores looking for the Siege stuff and randomly landed at 30.55, 79.13 in the Apex Canopy (to check my map for the Siege).... and this guy spawned and jumped me! He doesn't appear to drop anything special. I'm not seeing a reason for this rare to exist, yet... usually the rares are on an achievement and/or drop something special. Since he jumped me while I was minding my own business, though, I feel obligated to figure out what the purpose of him being there is, so I'll update this if I find out anything. For now, if you are looking for him for some reason, you can be anywhere close to where the map shows him spawning and see him when he spawns! - I forgot to add that I DID get 50 rep with the Maruuk Centaur, though!
I was just logging in to do Siege on the platform, when I heard fight sounds behind me. Apparently the draconids (30,78) attack Beakers and kill it on its path. Almost the very end of the expansion, where I wondered, why didn't I ever see this rare. It's because the npcs are killing it most of the time.
