Fire Elemental

In order to capture a soul with [item=200938] (crafted by [skill=755]), the elemental must die while casting Zapthrottle Soul Inhaler (crafted by [skill=202]). The best method is to use dots, as well as stuns to prevent any abilities that may interrupt the cast. Once you receive the soul. do not open the item until the "Encaged" turns into "Docile", which will happen once the 15-minute timer expires. Docile souls may contain pets, but the majority of the time it will contain the elemental crafting reagent,

EDIT: You no longer need to use dots, as the item now applies a 30-second debuff to the mob.

There's a cave at /way #2024 78.6 39.8, which you can camp in with nothing to aggro while you wait your 15 minutes to get more Fiery Souls. You can then pull the Fire Elemental in to kill it without pulling a bunch of other mobs.

Trying to extract the soul from this thing is exceptionally hard for melee, especially if you've already enchanted your gear/have procs available.

I highly recommend doing this with a friend, because for some reason, Blizzard, in their infinite, cubicle crawling wisdom, thought it was a great idea for the channeled item to ONLY DO 1,000 DAMAGE PER SECOND.
