Mini Thor (Who I have nicknamed Mini Thror) is an amazing battle pet. This guy has been a base pillar for all my battle teams since I started pet battling, and my first pet to get to 25. He is reliable, durable, and deadly.

At level 25, Mini Thor comes with these stats.

  • 1806 health

  • 292 attack

  • 211 speed

Amazing amount of health makes Mini Thor withstand a lot of punishment. It is great with the mechanical passive, because Mini Thor always comes up with enough HP to survive an extra attack or two. His attack power is also very decent. Speed wise, let's face it... Mini Thor will not be outspeeding anyone, ever. It is one of the lowest speeds that a pet can have. But outspeeding his enemies is not the job of Mini Thor. His job is to shoot rockets in their face while drowning them in toxic gas. Onward to attacks!

Choosing the first attack is easy. Batter is nice if you would outspeed your opponent, therefore, Batter is useless. If it would consistently hit twice, it would be better than the missile, but it doesn't. So pick Missile. Surface-to-face missiles are Mini Thor's favourite kind.

For the second attack, you can either pick Mine Field or Toxic Gas. Mine Field might be worth it for PvP... sometimes. You can use it to discourage pet swaps. In AI controlled pet battles, it is really not all that useful, because the AI only swaps pets when its active pet gets CC'd (and Mini Thor can not CC) or when its active pet goes very low on hp (clarification needed though, this doesn't seem to be very consistent). Wild pets never switch aside from when you kill the active one and a new one replaces it. Therefore, Mine Field does not generate all that much DPS. Toxic Gas on the other hand, is pretty nice! For a sustained DPS with my Mini Thor, I always use Toxic Gas -> Missile -> Missile -> repeat. It really helps to reinforce your Missile damage with the DoT. It is also great that the DoT persists even if the enemy swaps pets, so you can use Toxic Gas as a move to finish off pets at low hp for an easy advantage against your next opponent. I always use it to finish off those pesky critters that used "Survive", and such.

Third move is a choice between Sticky Grenade and Launch Rocket. I am not a huge fan of Sticky Grenade. It is easy to counter by moves like Burrow or Survive. On the other hand, Launch Rocket is just amazing. It's a huge burst of damage that you can set up at any time, and keep it prepared for later. It is obviously best to set up the missile when your opponent uses some mitigation move. I absolutely love preparing the missile while I am killing one pet, and launching it against the second one (especially when the second pet is a Beast) for an epic burst of damage.

One additional note, Mini Thor is really, really strong under the Lightning weather. You might consider using some pet that can summon Lightning for the synergy. Missile damage gets even better, Toxic Gas deals additional lightning damage with each tick, and Launch Rocket becomes Launch Nuke.

Really the only thing this pet misses to be perfect is the famous line:

THOR IS HEA

when he enters battle. To gently suggest that there are going to be lots of missiles flying in the general direction of your opponents face.

+ - useful for pet battle.
Tactical abilites:
1)[petability=301]/[petability=293] 2nd use is not supposed to be on next turn after doing [petability=300]/[petability=294]. You may delay the hit for using best advantage of enemy's vulnerability.
2)If you are faster: [petability=392] protects you from current round's main attack aswell.

Very strong pet. Hard to beat. Most of his strength comes from his health rather than defensive power. Counter that with a high damage pet that can withstand him, such as a drainer. I used a Ghostly skull to decent affect. We were 15 at the time.
