I think some of you are a little off the mark about this dust.
The primary source of this dust isn't Arcane Crystals. This dust is the new Illusion Dust. It comes from disenchanting Armor/Weapons in TBC.
In Alpha and early Beta there was an enchanting recipe to disenchant 1 Arcane Crystal into 3 Arcane Dust, however this recipe has been removed from the game.
The fastest way to gain Arcane Dust.
Farm the crap out of the mana tombs (located in shatt).for netherweaves, A single run on a level 85 toon can produce about 5 stacks.
Get about 20-40 stacks.Tailoring skill: Neatherweave Bracer.
Create as many as you can, Disenchant.When I did this, I ended up with six stacks of Arcane Dust.
