Darkmoon Firewater

As of 6.2, @andru360 is not right about the amount.

This potion works exactly like Gathering time reducing gloves from pandaria [see [item=86566]].
This means that it reduces:

Skinning by 1 second
Mining by 1.5 second
Herbalism by 1.5 second

DOES NOT AFFECT FISHING (or it reduces by 0.08); DOES NOT STACK WITH SIMILAR ITEMS.

Darkmoon Firewater is a consumable that grants a buff, reducing gathering time, and slightly increasing your character's size. Gathering time for skinning is reduced by 1 second, and for herbalism/mining by 1.5 seconds. Fishing cast time is not reduced by an appreciable amount. The buff lasts 60 minutes and it can be used in addition to other flasks/elixirs. The buff does not persist through death.

Similar gathering items/consumables include:

• [item=116913], a treasure found in Spires of Arak at (40,55) on a mountainside. This item reduces the cast time for mining, even for non-miners in their garrison mines.

• [item=116916], dropped by the rare spawn [npc=83509] in Nagrand. This item reduces cast time for herbalism by 1.5 seconds, even for non-herbalists in their garrison herb garden.

Obtaining Darkmoon Firewater

   1 of these potions is guaranteed to be inside each [item=124670] that you fish up. These crates can be fished up from pools of Shipwreck Debris around Darkmoon Island, or rarely can be fished up from open water. Each successful cast into a Shipwreck Debris pool will yield 1 [item=124670] (i.e. 1 Darkmoon Firewater per cast into a pool). As such, this is by far the most efficient way of obtaining these potions (rather than spending 25 Darkmoon Daggermaw each from the vendor)!

4. Vendor
   [npc=55103] (Fishing Prizes) is the vendor that sells these potions at the Darkmoon Faire. She is located at (52, 88) - beside the left dock ramp, under the reddish awning.
   
   The currency used for this vendor is Darkmoon Daggermaw, which can be fished up in the waters surrounding Darkmoon Island. Here are some notes about catching these fish:

   • These fish can be caught from open water OR pools
   • 
     
   • When fished from open water, 1 Darkmoon Daggermaw is caught per cast, unless you fish up a [item=127141] (a rare catch), containing gold and 5-10 Darkmoon Daggermaw
   • 
     
   • Fishing in pools of Shipwreck Debris will yield multiple Darkmoon Daggermaw (typically 2-5), along with 1 [item=124670] per cast. Pools usually despawn after 1-2 casts.
   • 
     
   • While the fish are the currency for items sold by [npc=55103], they can also be eaten (for mana and health, they do not grant a buff) or cooked into various dishes that grant a versatility buff (the recipes for which are purchased from Galissa!).

   Recipe for food that grants 1% versatility (+1% damage done/-0.5% damage taken, ~130 versatility at level 100). Well fed buff is applied instantly upon eating, and lasts 20 minutes. Food requires 2 Darkmoon Daggermaw per piece to make. Cooking skill of 1 needed to cook.

   Darkmoon Firewater

   25 X Darkmoon Daggermaw

   Potion that grants a buff, reducing gathering time, and slightly increasing your character's size. Gathering time for skinning reduced by 1 second, and for herbalism/mining by 1.5 seconds. Lasts 60 minutes. Consumed on use. Stacks with other flasks/elixirs.
   Note that 1 of these potions is guaranteed to be inside each [item=124670], which can be fished up from pools of Shipwreck Debris around Darkmoon Island, or rarely can be fished up from open water. This is by far the more efficient way of obtaining these potions!

Well fed buff is applied instantly upon eating, and lasts 20 minutes. Feast requires 5 Darkmoon Daggermaw each to make. Cooking skill of 150 needed to cook.

Well fed buff is applied instantly upon eating, and lasts 20 minutes. Feast requires 10 Darkmoon Daggermaw each to make. Cooking skill of 225 needed to cook.

So don't waste them - wait for the buff to fade off before drinking another!
