The Darkmoon Faire DOES NOT have to be in town for you to use the decks/get the items.
No you don't, don't even comment when you have no clue what you're talking about. When you accept the quest and right click the card a person teleports to you, doesn't matter if you are at the fair or if the fair is even going on.
Added in beta build 8962.
I finished the Demons Deck. It's a blue/rare item that gives you a quest to turn it into a Darkmoon Fortune Teller. Once you accept the quest, you can use the deck to summon the fortune teller to you. The quest reward is your choice of three level 40 blue/rare weapons that are soulbound.
Darkmoon Dirk: Dagger 1.8 speed, 43-66 damage, 30.3 dps, +11 Agility
Darkmoon Magestaff: Staff 3.2 speed, 101-152 damage, 39.5 dps, +30 Spell Power
Darkmoon Executioner: 2Hand Axe, 3.5 speed, 111-167 damage, 39.7 dps, +52 Attack PowerI received 5100 exp (level 72) for turning it in and 27 Darkmoon Faire rep (human).

The weapons given by the card are no longer Soulbound.
Good? Those daggers are best daggers available for level 40 rogues! I wouldn't say this bad.
the cards for this deck comes from the pattern Shadowy Tarot.
If you're Ret (and most folks are at this level), the Executioner is just plain brutal. Perfect speed for SoC, and a godly amount of attack power at a level where it's hard to come by. A retadin would have to be silly to pass this up, considering how easy decks are to come by.
Axes are for chopping trees! Not very good for druids ;)

Darkmoon Executioner
Darkmoon Magestaff
Darkmoon DirkThey are all rather plain-looking weapons, though they all have a slight natural glow.
Very disappointing that there are no items of use to a feral druid.
this deck is pretty rare on my server. spent 3 weeks checking the AH and can only find 1 or 2 of the individual cards at one time.
except that I waited 4 days for the Faire to open, just to realize there are no tellers inside, coming here, reading his useful comment, and discovering you had to right click the item... to summon the teller. Crappy quest. Useful comment evilsaint, thanks
Opened this with my Death Knight and gave me no weapon choices at all. Wanted axe and able to equip it. What is the problem here?
agreed...im lvling a feral druid right now and i got a reward to the lvl 20 and 30 quests then bought this deck and found out none of the rewards are any good for feral...bliz should really let druids use 2h axes imo
why would a tank paladin use a 2hand weapon? trying to be a death knight? the axe is awsome for ret palies.
I don't know, but I had the same problem (on my shaman). Bug, maybe?
I'd consider the dirk a feral weapon, but might not be better than what you have already at this level. However, since druids can't dual-wield, you should probably find a good "held in off-hand" item to go with it. Luckily, Tome of Kings or even Fire Eater's Guide might work.
I see why its quite rare, the rewards arent very good at all :(
Ok, leveling my paladin with herb/inscrip and i find NOTHING here i can even equip, let alone use (Tankadin)...
PROTIP:Don't bother with this deck if your a paladin.
it does actually
why is my comment down rated? you DO have to be at the fair... at least untill they get their island in 4.3
