Ghost Iron Shield Spike

This item will be the new Pyrium Shield Spike in Mists of Pandaria. The damage displayed in wowhead is incorrect at the moment, it deals 600-1000 damage – here it displays the same information as shown on the Pyrium Shield Spike. It's better than that, obviously.

These high level shield spikes will be extremely useful for farming/boosting lower level dungeons or any old content etc., because it does pack quite a punch against low level enemies. Pair it with Mending on your weapon, and you can just pretty much run around freely pulling all mobs you see without getting harmed. As lordlight commented on Pyrium Shield Spike: it is almost like having cruise control.

Oh, and if you kill some mobs with nothing else but the spike itself, you WILL be able to loot it, gain experience/honor etc., so don't you worry about that.

P.S. Just to add, the 210-350 damage displayed on Pyrium Shield Spike seems to be incorrect or at least displayed differently ingame. Here's a picture to prove it.

EDIT: This seems to have been fixed. According to ImpTaimer it now deals 600-1000 damage via enchant on shield.

Second time ever posting on WoWhead, but just wanna give people a heads up

You ARE able to apply this to a BoA shield while on a level 90 toon, HOWEVER The enchant will not work, When you mail the BoA shield to your alt the enchant shows up red and says it requires level 85 to use the enchant.

Although the slider and the changes to enchants would have you think that this now works for low lv characters and heirlooms, it doesn't.

Just wasted some money to find out that it still requires lv 85 as the tooltip continues to indicate.
