Coalfist Gronnling

Will be nice to finally have one Gronnling mount that is easy to get for us people who are a bit limited on how they can play right now. :D So far, the mission for this mount seems to be for normal follower missions rather than Shipyard missions and will require 3 675 item level followers to complete the mission.

it was in the auctionhouse an hour ago, so you can buy coalfist mount (or sell) :D

I have 25 i675 followers. This mission has still not popped for me.

Aye, ive got 23 ilvl 675 followers (due to having to incorporate Dowser and Varyx), and have yet to see ANY rare missions pop, short of the neat, but disappointing, Burning Blade toy. As stated on 97% of wowhead pages, RNG is a fickle, fickle b****.

I've seen several threads on various WoW-related websites where people are whining about this mount negating the effort they put in to camp Poundfist... I think that is ridiculous. If you were going to take that route, then the few people who have gotten the Glory of the Draenor Raider achievement already should be whining about Poundfist's mount being so much easier to obtain than the Glory meta mount... but they aren't. I don't have the Poundfist mount yet, but that is due to bad luck (I went to go bio and when I came back it had spawned and been killed, all in the space of about 4 minutes) but I will have it at some point. Even if I did already have it, my attitude on this particular mount is "Cool, another color variation of the Gronnling mount" not "I'm a special snowflake, and this mount makes me less special now." Getting the Poundfist mount is nothing more than either being in the right place at the right time, or camping a lot, neither of which is especially difficult. Enjoy the fact that there's another version of this mount... after all, it's not like this Garrison mission is rewarding the Sunhide Gronnling itself.

Agreed. People CHOSE to farm Poundfist. Nobody told them to do it. Jesus..

THANK YOU! I have Poundfist after on n off camping for 4 months but seeing this I was like "cool another mount to add towards the 250 mount cheev." Ppl will ALWAYS complain. Be happy they're giving you a mount for free almost. Sheesh.

I have Poundfist, and I'm happy to add to my collection. People need to stop being butthurt about their e-peen and realize nobody else cares already.

Replace Poundfist by the Time-Lost Proto-Drake. Are people with TLPD whining about those that have the Blue Proto-Drake ? The rusted Proto-Drake ? The Ironbound Proto-Drake ? Or any other Proto-Drake ? I've never heard of such a thing. Different color, different mount, different way to get it. Because one is the same model as the much rarer one means squat to those with the rare one, it is just not the same.

I am looking forward to obtaining this mount! I have limited time to camp for the other one, but hope to do so sometime. So I am glad there will be a way for others to get this awesome mount similar to the camped one.

I'm happy that they're adding more gronnling mounts! Got tired of the poundfist one after a while, and it's also good for people that don't want to waste countless hours for a gronnling!

~30k was the average price on Draenor-US. I just wanted to blow it out since more and more people will be getting this mission, and repeats. Sold it off for 22.5k

As of mid August 2015 the AH prices on EU-Aerie Peak is down to around 10k now - getting common now...

So I just got home and logged into WoW for the 6.2 release, went to my garrison, and this mission was there - 12 hours long, but I have it as 100% success. Cannot WAIT for this to finish, so lucky and excited! Will look good with my Poundfist :) Everyone gets their luck, guess this was mine!

This seems to have been extreme luck on your side. I have 11 lvl 100 chars and none of them has gotten the mission by now. I guess it is just a matter of time, but I want my NOW :D

Same, 12 characters and checking each day but no luck. Then again, i already killed over 30 rare mobs for the 4 bagged mounts in tanaan as well and no luck there *sadface* (Got the left shark though! Hurray for the left shark)

I also have 9 level 100's and I haven't gotten the garrison mission yet either, It will show eventually =). As stated above I also have the Poundfist mount (Sun Gronnling) so this will be nice to add to the collection.

10 lvl 100 chars, all with the shipyard in the garrison, 8 of them with tons of 675 followers. NO MISSION after the 3rd weekly reset.

yeah, i just found out you need to have ilvl 675 on your character, not your followers. I raised all my toons to at least that ilvl and now i have had around 10 rare missions. Most are the elixirs and medaillons though :) But i'm guessing this is the fastest way of getting the mount without having to pay for it on the AH

This mount is BoE which means you can sell it on the Auction House

I will be a !@#$% and say I got Poundfist within 15 minutes of actual trying to farm for it ( just waited till 5-6 premade groups showed up on the finder with 137 hours or so waiting ) & I got this NEW GRONN the day after 6.2 patched! & its !@#$ing PURPLE! I love it! <3

Was lucky enough to have this mission available when I logged on today. I had very little luck farming Poundfist, and my guild fell apart before we finished BRF, so it was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely be learning for my own use, but it's worth noting that this isn't BoP.

Just sold this on Frostmane today for [b]240[/b]k Gold. - Easist gold ever for me!. [b](Red/purple) version of Poundfist.[/b]

Currently this item is "Bind on Use" so it can be sold.

You must be lucky then. There has been like 10+ of these on the AH of Haomarush for ~30 for at least a few weeks, they don't seem to sell.

Update: Under 20k on most servers now.

Down the under 3k now if anyone's valuing - check your local AH before camping.

I bet the guy who paid 240k for it feels like an idiot now.

I just bought one with a buyout of 200G - but I'd only bid 100G, and let the auction run. How the mighty have fallen...

If you get one of these and sell it, will you ever get the mission again on that or any other character?

I got my first one the day patch released. Learned the mount, then yesterday I got the mission again on the same character. So yes, you can get it multiple times.

I can still confirm, you can get this mission multiple times.

I just received this mount as a reward from a Garrison Mission. Keep an eye out for the Garrison Mission called "Breaker Two", as it seems that this is an extremely rare mount at the moment which is Bind on Use, so it is Sellable/Tradeable. It is also worth me noting that I completed the Garrison Mission at 83%... TY Blizzard ! Malefucis @ Alexstrasza - US

I do not have a screenshot, but I would like to add further confirmation to your post: I got this Coalfist Gronnling patch night. I received the mount successfully. On the same level 100 character (my only character I play...I have another 90 druid that I do not touch) last night I got another mission for the Coalfist Gronnling. This mission *CAN* be repeated on the same character.

i have not got this quest on garrisons, but my GM is on his 7th mount, we made a joke about join the guild get a mount, so much RNG as i got 16 alts no mount q

To get one of these new 6.2 rare missions to show up, your toon need to have 675 ilvl as well.

Where do you get this from? Isn't it enough if the followers are 675?

I didn't have a ilvl675 char yet and saw none of the new missions since patchday. Then I got my ilvl up to 675, checked my mission table and the 675ilvl pet mission showed up (which wasnt there 5mins before i got my ilvl up) . Also got the 675 apexis mission. Haven't seen the gronnling mission yet though.

Hmm this is very interesting. I was thinking I was very unlucky to not get this yet on any of my 9 chars. I grinded apexis on one of my alts last weekend and got ilvl up above 675. The missions popped this morning.

I'm questioning this info: I have 20 followers at 675, my ilvl is 680. I still haven't gotten this mission to show up.
