Actually this isn't entirely true, but the two are related. WoW works on a single roll system for non-special attacks (a.k.a. "white damage"), with a precedence of Miss, Dodge, Parry, Glancing Blow, Block, Critical Strike, Hit. What this means is that as numbers before a field become greater than 100 - that field's chance to occur, that field's chance will be 'pushed off the table', decreasing the chance it will happen. As an example since Hit is lower precedence compared to Crit, if you have a 5% chance to miss, 5% chance to be dodged, 0% chance to be parried or blocked, a 25% chance to gl
