In my experience as an early-forties enhancement shaman this item is quite good. The proc happens pretty often imo, and it's relatively slow so i get some mean windfuries which proc the stun even more if they don't one-shot mobs my own level. So three troll-thumbs up for a cheap AH buy, 15 gold and worth twice that. The above comment is either a master player being sarcastic, or someone who doesn't recognize it's utility.

The only place besides AH you can get this staff in is Sunken Temple and the odds arent very good.. I Happen to like this staff
Still, I'd go for dualwielding instead of this statless item :<

Actually you are wrong. With 3.0 ferals in forms CAN proc all enchantments and weapon procs. Granted that doesn't help the staff not having any stats, however the stun chance will work in forms.
Anyone else think of Duck Hunt on the NES when they heard Grinning Dog?
Yeah , stun work in druid forms and its stun pretty often when swipe largest number of targets( 1 stun procs on swipe 3-5 targets), but missing other stats make this worthless to buy, even how i done for 6g on AH( anyway i sold it after that for 2,7 g to vendor ) If you wanna CC you can swipe this item with better for 49lvl twinks and hope stun effect proc immidiatly :P.( Proc in cat form going down - 1sec att speed)

Due to the fact that 2handier's are better for lvling, i'd go for this one if i i'd get my hands on it. (as a shaman)
o..just for curious ppl...the proc looks like a warriors charge effect..and the buff pic is a small mace :)
The proc has a 5 yard range, so no.

i dont really agree with the statement "The proc happens pretty often"...i dont get much procs outa this.Dont get me wrong tho..its proc WILL save ur life one time or another...it just doesnt proc as often as i would hope.Very nice staff tho, even without the proc.

The level is 45 though, so the damage is thus higher. Looks different graphic-wise, but the proc is the same.
completely useless for a cat druid.. Druid only benefit from stats on a weapon not chance on hit effects (since they can't proc while shapeshifted) neither on a weapon's dmg/speed..
"Chance on hit" procs on melee usually.
I wonder if i'm mistaken and this can proc for Ranged too.
Then this is awesome pvp for hunter.

Actually this will be decent for kitties and bears. Since weapon base dmg, will add to your dmg in forms. :o
does the stun effect proc in cat / bear form for druids?

Does anyone know if the "Chance on Hit: Stun..." will proc on a ranged attacked ? (essentially making it a viable (dare i say it...) hunter weapon. lol
